At DSF, we use visual regression testing with Percy, to maintain the reliability and visual consistency of our design system’s developer assets during updates. In this post, we’ll explore how Percy fits into our workflow and the benefits it provides.

The design system has been updated to version 3.0.0. This is a total redesign of the design system, with branding and styling changes. The new version includes improvements on existing components, as well as new design elements to accommodate services and websites alike. 

Creating new design elements presents a challenge, as we must make sure they can be used by everyone. In our latest service, we introduced new components and patterns and tried to make them as usable and accessible as possible, with special focus on making them screen reader-friendly.

We have updated the design system community Figma library to reflect the changes in the Design System. You can use the library for rapid design and prototyping using the gov.cy design system by DSF.

The conference titled “Framework for the Digital Transformation of Government Services” was a successful gathering of government representatives, tech experts, and industry leaders. It explored topics like user-centered design, interaction design, and technical architecture, all aimed at making digital services more user-friendly and tailored for citizens. The conference also featured interactive workshops to share best practices and highlight the application of agile methodologies and the Service Standard.

We are pleased to announce the successful tenderers for the Framework for the Digital Transformation of Government Services. This framework, spanning a duration of two years, represents a significant step forward in our ongoing efforts to enhance and modernize digital experiences for the people of Cyprus.
